Founded in 2014

In 2014, master gunsmith Chris Miller opened Near and Far Gunsmithing. Chris Miller has over 40 years of experience and is a 2nd generation gunsmith. With all his years of experience Chris was able to provide spectacular service to the community; creating a 5 star business. Chris trained the current owner, Vaughn, for 2 years before making the decision to retire. If you're luck you may see him stop by for a visit.

Meet the Gunsmith

Near and Far is a local gunsmith shop that welcomes enthusiast from near or far. The owner, Vaughn, grew up working with firearms and his passion only increased as he was a member of the United States Army. After realizing that gunsmithing was his career of choice he applied and graduated with honors from Sonoran Desert Institute with a degree in Firearms Technology. He apprenticed for over 2 years with Master Gunsmith, Chris Miller, before having the opportunity to become the owner. Now he wants to help gun owners near and far.

Goals and Promises

With any service that is taken on at Near & Far Gunsmithing we will evaluate the problem and come up with a solution. The evaluation consist of test firing the firearm, physical examination, and speaking with the customer. Then, with the customers permission, we will begin to work on the firearm. Before returning the firearm we will test fire again to ensure that all issues have been addressed. We are a family operated business and want you to feel like family!
